Welcome to Dawgs Walking Dogs, a student-founded dog walking business here in Athens, Georgia. Our founder, Zach Contursi, wanted to combine his entrepreneurial spirit with his love for dogs. The business idea started when Zach noticed that his college friends and he at UGA spent a good bit of their time talking about the furry friends that they miss at home. He wanted to create a way to rekindle the comforting connection that only comes from quaility time with a dog.
Dawgs Walking Dogs focuses on hiring the most qualified UGA students with the kindest hearts. Our staff understands the importance of affection and thoughtfulness. Not only does each walker understand the responsibility of taking care of a dog, but each walker also goes through training with a professional dog trainer before being officially hired.

Hi, I’m Zach! I am a second-year finance and entrepreneurship student at the University of Georgia. Growing up, my mom was a dog trainer and breeder, so I was raised with a great love for dogs. I am from Chicago, so I’ve spent a lot of time missing my two best friends (you can see them on the home page). That is what led me to start this business here in Athens. As an active participant in dog training and showing all my life, I hope that I can bring you a little more comfort and help you take care of your dog while you’re unavailable!
